Jim Haddox Seriously! You’re suggesting that folding on this “political” issue will make it easier to defeat Donald Trump?
Building a wall whose foundation is firmly grounded in ignorance, greed, and racism will do nothing but hand him a victory, a victory his supporters will delight in. The 11 Edgar Martinez Seattle AL 1987 2004 hall of fame shirt would only end up being a symbol of the Hate that fuels his movement. Is that the argument you were looking for? This is great news! Detroit is loud and proud! Show the rest of how it is done. Onward and upward! Love, peace and caring for a community that is coming together for a better future for all. What a noble cause for all involved. Jack Ward The downtown has made significant strides. Just outside of downtown is a very different story. Detroit faces massive racism from the white flight suburbs. For example, the two bus systems(one for Detroit, one for the suburbs) rarely interconnect making it next to impossible for Detroiters to get jobs outside the city. The bus systems themselves poorly run and underfunded. There is no rail system to the suburbs like Chicago has. The city has an outmoded vision of what the city should like in the future. Massive areas have one home in a block area, the rest have been burn down, torn down, or are vacant.

I grew up on the East Side from St Jean & Jefferson to Alter and Warren to Lakewood and Mack! I love Detroit, I thank everyone who shows up to stand against the 11 Edgar Martinez Seattle AL 1987 2004 hall of fame shirt that’s gripped our great city. Detroit has such a rich history, I never knew it would come to what it became today, given the most of entertainment and music has come from it! And not to mention the history of the auto- industry! I’m from Flint, MI but I’ve lived in Detroit, MI for 2 years! Great place beside the violence. Grew up on Savannah and John r seen so much and survived. Been gone since 2000 shout out to Greenfield Park Elementary classmates Pershing High School Pulaski Middle School all of 7 miles and Ryan Detroit born and raised praying for a better Detroit always. Makes me sad to see what some are facing in our country. God Bless this young man for stepping up to be a leader for change. Thank you, CNN for bringing this story to us. Are there no factory jobs left around Detroit? It also makes me sad to see what little factory jobs are left in this country. My husband worked the night shift in the RailRoad division at Timken roller bearing in Columbus, Ohio 1962 thru 1966 when he got drafted. It was a good-paying job for a family. We do need the industry to return to this country.

Come to the flint and help us too! It’s not people that create crime, it’s circumstances and lack of options. If we all come together to raise each other up we can make our city’s amazing again! Cmon Detroit! Home of Motown and some of the greatest artist ever, and flint! Too many to list so I’ll just give props to all of them. Ted Green circumstances do not create crime, it hinders opportunities but you can’t be in denial that it isn’t people!! People DO create crime! Flint should take Detroit’s advice. Jerry Caldwell Those so-called tax reforms you Republicans use to swindle and line your pockets with other folks hard-earned money is the real “handouts”. I could pull the stats, but I’m sure you know the facts- put up, or stf up! BTW, RED States are to the West and South, pick one and gtf outta dodge! Robert Schlosser I couldn’t agree more, I have two sons my older son graduated from Santa Clara University in 2016 as a Mechanical engineer and my younger son is attending LMU. when my older son was in high school my friends ask me all the time how do you get Danny to study, his doing so well. I said his been doing it since he was in middle school, I course we have helped him by putting him in some extracurricular classes like math and writing a couple of times a week after he finished his regular classes. so now in high school, he loves playing baseball and getting his homework done 100. I think many parents don’t really plan or pay to much attention to their kids till is a little too late or it is not too late it will be much harder for them to listen to you. Robert God bless you and your family
