Kevin Lowry Good luck with your theory because the bottom line is not only may “Nancy’s Fall Impeachment Follies” be shut down by the inevitable legal challenges but the Senate will have every right to refuse to consider any impeachment recommendation that comes from the current bogus alleged impeachment inquiry. This is the second attempt by my former party in a little over a year to end the presumption of innocence and right of due process (the first was the Kavanaugh clusterf*ck). I’ve never voted a straight ticket in what will be 40 years of voting next year but it could happen and it sure as hell won’t be for my former (allegedly Democratic) party. Kevin Lowry Of course not. Is reading comprehension not your thing? I clearly stated in my original comment that my problem is how my former party is attempting to handle this situation. If a formal impeachment inquiry (passed by a full House vote) finds the President committed an offense that rises to the level of impeachment and removal then I’ll have no problem supporting a Senate trial, conviction, and removal but the problem is the end run around due process the current inquiry represents.
Ted Berndt I’ve got to get back to work but the fact is the Constitution states that the House is responsible for handling impeachment. That means the full House (which includes both parties and independent members) not just the Speaker and the chosen few in her kangaroo court. Watch and learn as the legal challenges play out a grasshopper. I didn’t present a theory. My reading comprehension is fine, although your incoherent world salads are a bit difficult to decipher. Most of what you said doesn’t really support your original comment. You’re just taking inane swipes at people when they call you out on it. Scott Sanford “the other guy did it first” strategy won’t hold up too well. An inquiry isn’t a “kangaroo court”. You can perseverate all you want about House procedure, but it has nothing to do with the courts and the outcome of legal challenges. Scott Sanford The Constitution, however, makes no mention of the procedure dictating impeachment and the House’s general counsel has argued in court that the lower chamber “sets its own rules” and “has sole power” over the process. Article II, Section IV states only, “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors,” leaving lawmakers to figure out the rest.
So there’s the rub. Sure you get the tang faced man with the cotton candy hair out of a position of power but then you get crazy pants, Jim Jones, instead. All I know for sure is, if he is removed from office, no one in the USA should drink any Koolaid until you get the other one out too. Dear Trump supporters, he does not care about you. He will throw you under the bus just like he has every single thing that has ever come in contact with him. Get out now while you still have a chance. You have been warned. For you po souls that don’t want this cowardly draft dodger impeached. Remember was ain’t to be trusted. Y’all think this draft dodger knows more than the Generals in the Pentagon. Remember he works for Putin. Godspeed For a man of god you sure do whine a lot, is that normal there? In Africa I mean, is your country full of little guys in skirts running around online taking a piss on things you wish you had? Tell you what after all this is said and done how about we send you Trump and his entire family but in return, we cut all AID to your country, sound fair?
