Kellie Gadaleta Those who immediately attack someone for a post which could have been better worded are no different than those who comment on articles without bothering to read them first or those who have nothing to contribute but ad hominem attacks. Sad, just sad. Evidently more & more people can’t bother to read past the header, because she used the same wording as the last line of the ACLU post above. My apologies if she was agreeing. I live in an area where people genuinely feel this kind of rule would benefit children. I don’t usually go to profiles to verify political leanings, so I just interpreted the That log had a child the saga begins shirt negatively. WV has 8000+ in foster care. There are stories every day about human traffickers waiting outside facilities that get rid of teenage foster children waiting for their victims. And this government wants to make it harder for these children to find loving homes. Pissed is an understatement. This is infuriating. Some of the best foster and adoptive homes I’ve seen in 15+ years of working in child welfare are same-sex parent households. Who cares? Love is love. Good foster homes are scarce. And show me one true Christian who would prefer a kid growing up on the streets or in group homes instead of being cared for by a loving family

So let me get this straight. They want to get rid of abortion (thank you ACLU for stopping those bills) which would fill up the foster care and orphanages even more and then they want to limit the number of people who can adopt and foster as well? How does this make any sense at all to republicans? Whenever bad news like this comes in I’m always surprised it wasn’t the case sooner. I’ve learned not to expect the federal government to respect me in any capacity, and that’s sad. One would assume all the right-wingers against abortion will be up in arms over this, as being so pro-life they would clearly want what is best for kids, which is a loving home. One might assume, but would likely be wrong, as those same people are also frequently anti-LGBT because of Jesus. And again you fail to look into the damage being caused to children over mandatory vaccines in states like California where the medical exemptions have been removed, and save the crap about it being for the greater good. The greater good in this That log had a child the saga begins shirt is only applying to shareholders and politicians

Melissa Kaye Brunson’s phony is perhaps not the correct word. Although the phrase does not appear in the establishment clause, the point was made that the federal government will not enforce any religion. In the time since federal jurisprudence has evolved to keep religion out of state business to prevent the act or appearance of establishing a religion. Anything prefaced with “Trump’s” is going to be bad, discriminatory, racist, destructive, or flat out illegal. Day after day I simply cannot believe how much he is regressing all the progress we have made as a country. How many privately funded group homes orphanages detention centers and youth shelters exist? Check property names and holding companies? So those workers aren’t classified as ‘parents’. Are all social workers judges and lawyers only heterosexual? Well, this is just great! There are kids waiting in disgusting group homes because good foster and adoptive parents can’t be found and now we want religious and sexual preference exemptions. As a foster mom, I am heartbroken. There is so much hateful, ignorant, inaccurate thinking that people support on the basis of religion. Facts and compassion don’t matter to them, because they have abandoned rational thought in favor of dogma.
